I have always been interested in telling stories. When I was around six years old, I wrote on the edges of wallpaper that my dad, a painter and decorator, used. As a young man, I continued to write many of my stories, but life always got in the way, I started many manuscripts but failed to complete them.

Six years ago, while living on a small holding in South Africa, our home was invaded by gunmen. My wife and I had promised ourselves never to be tied up like a lot of our neighbours who were either shot dead or tied up, robbed at gunpoint. This was a life changing moment for all of us. I was shot three times and survived, my wife faced down the gunmen after I threw a sharded glass and ran for my gun.

After getting out of hospital, my wife encouraged me to complete one of my books that was by then, 8 years in the making, gathering dust. I completed this book in just over a week whilst my wife started the editing process. I was accepted by two publishers within a month, not realising that my journey and learning curve was just starting. This book is now called THE DEADLY DENIAL.
